Flash + WordPress = FlashPress – An Introduction

FlashPress is an extension to WordPress, which allows the ability to use an essentially PHP based CMS to communicate with a Flash site. The FlashPress project aims to develop a new WordPress bundle that will allow anybody to download, install, choose a template, and be up running with a fully CMS backed Flash site or blog in minutes. As part of this project we will be publicly documenting the process, code, and challenges along the way.

This is a video of my presentation from WordCamp Montreal 2009. Since this presentation I have inundated with questions about FlashPress, When will it be available? Where can I download it? How can I contribute?  We are still working out a lot of issues and are hoping to Open Source FlashPress soon, we apologize for all the delays!!!

Also make sure to check out the other presentations from WordCamp Montreal 2009 on blip.tv

Hi there – enjoyed the presentation – really excited for this product to come out. Is there a projected date of when it will become available?

Unfortunately no, we have had some major set backs. But, we are always looking for contributors?
